I feel proud of being able to adapt to the changes and keep on supporting the community, my program CYB (Cultura y Bienestar of La Clínica de La Raza, La Familia Counseling Center, and Tiburcio Vasquez Health Center) works for. Because of the lockdown, we could have not been seeing participants in person. However, I have been attending the needs of people having the one-to-one talks through the phone and it has worked well.
Storyteller Hermelinda Aguiar shared, “I have a BS in Health Education with a focus in community-based health. I work as a health educator and I was born in Mexico.”
